This is what the sicilian says
"Petralava" means lava stone and that is what is characteristic for this white wine. The grapes grow on the typical sandy, volcanic soil from Etna and are exposed to strong changes in temperature, which explains the dry taste and tannin flavour. To ensure the highest quality the grapes are picked by hand.
